How 1health Helped the Air Force Meet COVID-19 Testing Requirements
Since the early days of the pandemic, 1health has pioneered solutions that leveraged technology and clinical testing to enable thousands of employees to return to work safely.
So when the Mountain Home Air Force Base needed a partner to test service members for COVID-19 before their flights, they knew 1health was the right partner for the job.
The scope of the project was straight-forward: Mountain Home Air Force Base needed to implement COVID-19 testing for upcoming flights. Their partner would need to simplify ordering and testing as well as coordinate shipment and result delivery in time for the scheduled departures. And with the first flight less than a week away, the timeline was short.
1health quickly set up Mountain Home Air Force on the 1health platform, enabling them to order tests and view lab results from one, easy-to-use source. However, the situation became complicated when the initial flight had to be moved up 24 hours and extreme weather posed a threat to timely test delivery. The 1health team worked closely with the Mountain Home Air Force base officials to formulate a new plan that leveraged their extensive test offering, laboratory relationships, and dedicated customer service team
“Within a tight, changing deadline, we needed to create a system to test and validate the COVID status of our team,” said Technical Sergeant Daniel Parks, CFCM of the United States Airforce. “1Health worked tirelessly to manage every need – from test logistics to lab coordination – and secure result verification – all in only 4 days. Their dedicated team quickly adjusted as plans changed, using their integrations and relationships to provide clear tracking and the necessary prioritization. Our partnership was critical in meeting our deadlines and we’re grateful to have such a dedicated partner on our side”
“At 1health, we develop next-generation tech solutions that help labs become more efficient, effective, and accessible. When the pandemic hit, we were able to use these same solutions to rapidly launch programs to track vaccinations and deploy testing to help employers keep their communities safe. We’re proud of the work we’ve done and thankful for the opportunity to extend our services to the Mountain Home Air Force Base.” Said Mehdi, Magsoodnia, CEO of 1health.
