About the Speakers

Stuart A. Scott

Professor, Department of Pathology, Stanford University

Stuart A. Scott, PhD, FACMG, is a Professor in the Department of Pathology at Stanford University, and Director of the Stanford Medicine Clinical Genomics Laboratory. Dr. Scott is on the steering committees of the Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) and the Pharmacogene Variation (PharmVar) Consortium, and is an invited member of the Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP) Pharmacogenomics Working Group, International Union of Basic and Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR), and other national consortia on genomic medicine, including ClinGen, eMERGE, IGNITE, UDN, and GREGoR. He has co-authored several CPIC practice guidelines and has published over 150 peer-reviewed manuscripts and book chapters on clinical genomics, pharmacogenomics, and genomic medicine implementation. He is the co-editor of the 2nd edition of Pharmacogenomics: Challenges and Opportunities in Therapeutic Implementation and is an invited Scientific Editor of the Medical Genetics Summaries (MGS) from the NCBI/NIH/NLM. In addition, Dr. Scott’s notable honors include the 2011 William Bowes Jr Award in Medical Genetics from Partners HealthCare Center for Personalized Genetic Medicine, Harvard Medical School, and the 2012 Dr. Harold and Golden Lamport Research Award from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

He also served as Vice President at LipoScience and as President for Marketing and Clinical Product Strategy for a molecular hereditary cancer diagnostics company.

Nikhil Arun

Nikhil Arun is the VP of Product & Customer at 1health.io.  Prior to 1health, Mr. Arun held product leadership roles at Microsoft and helped build voice search on Xbox and billing and advertising products for Microsoft’s biggest partners including Coca Cola, Ford, Starbucks and many others. After Microsoft, Mr. Arun founded an Advertising Tech company that created next generation advertising for athletic and health & wellness brands, like Lululemon and Duke Basketball.  His platform helped drive more than 1.5 billion views per year and millions of revenue per year for these brands.
